If it was me I'd stick with leaf springs and work out a watts linkage set up, with the the right spring rate a good set of gas shocks and decent wheels and tyres I think you'd have a good handling set up. I know this is all old technology but it can be made to work so why make life hard for yourself...

You normally get new ones with the shocks, they are usually 2 piece and have a metal insert to stop you from overtightening them. I might have a pair in stock if you are stuck.

Rich, I bought some wire and the correct pliers to do my Wilwood brakes, I didn't like the idea of locktite when the bolt is going into aluminium, I could see problems with stripped threads when I needed to get it apart. You are welcome to borrow the pliers and wire if you want, and I could take som...

Provided they aren't siezed in, removing the strut rod nut and the nut on the lower control arm at the K frame and then carefully knocking the control arm stud rearwards will normally push the torsion bar out at the back. This is the only method I have ever used and it's worked every time so far. If...

I just measure out the quantities and pour it in Phil, it will soon mix once you drive it. ATF will make the box noisier because it is so much thinner than EP, so it has the effect of opening up the clearances on the syncro sliders, that is the main reason it shifts faster, I suspect ATF is also &qu...

These old transmissions can get real noisy if you run them on thinner oil than EP90, and Dave is right, ATF is the hot tip for faster shifting. I put a 90% ATF 10% EP90 mix in Petes 4 speed for a compromise, and that seems to be fine. The other problem with running straight ATF is that unless all th...

I borrowed one a few years ago, it made a very neat job of removing inner wheel wells but it didn't like paint, It had to be bare metal, don't know if thats the case with them all.

Whack your pickle fork in there tight to get some pressure against the spindle, then carefully warm up around the top of the spindle and the ball joint should pop out, you shouldn't need to use much heat and it won't harm the spindle. It is easier to separate components from each other while they ar...

Yes everything is mounted off the frame, unlike the other tricker looking conversions that use the original shock mount that was never designed to take the full weight of the car. Bill has destruction tested the componenets so you know they won't fail. This is the only kit I know of that fits, works...

The alterkation "H" frame is a beefy piece, at least as strong as a K frame so no problem. I ordered mine without mounts as I use a motor plate, but they are normally welded to the "H" frame, any flavour you like small block, bigblock, hemi, whatever!

Yes that's right, only the rack would need to be changed to go RHD, Andy and Bill Reilly who makes it have it all figured out as Tweety is at Bill's as we speak being converted. Of course the plan has changed and it's getting a full strut front end now ..... You can use any oil pan you like with an ...
