So following a good old blocking session last Saturday I’ve actually now started the primer stage,
I’m trying out a new twist on 2k this is apparently a hybrid 2k and has some kind of epoxy additive so it dries with a proper sheen,

Virtually finished the gapping now , just the nose panel to finish off, this is being a right pain, stripped it twice and twice it’s moved and cracked after about a month?
Tried two different epoxy’s neither worked,
I’ve been trying to follow guidelines from the US but obviously I can’t get the ...

Well I’ve finally managed to fully align the front end metal,
Still got a few small tweaks to make but overall it’s pretty sharp,
I’m currently about 6 months behind schedule so looking very unlikely it’ll be done this year,

Yep I’m captain slow as well, :D
I think I’ll forget about the motor for a month or two
Concentrate on getting the body fully level and in epoxy
Once this is done I can pull it apart and start getting it ready for colour
To be honest I’ve been messing around with the motor as I’ve almost nothing ...

The way the cars built is basically a nightmare,
Much more difficult to restore than a comparable Mopar,
The shell structure is very strong, but factor in the daft front subframe and front quarters that support the huge bonnet and ...

Managed to get the left front quarter almost Dialed in yesterday

So managed to get the right hand side gapped,
Quite pleased and a lite skim and block is all that’s required

And talking of blocks been prepping my motor,
All looking good so far,

That’s very nice, un corroded old cars are are hens teeth !
One of the main reasons I like the TA,
I actually regret doing the full Monty now,
I should have got it running ok, then driving ok and just used it ,
A tatty hood and slightly ragged quarters wouldn’t have made any difference to the way it ...

I’ve finally managed to complete my mission on the front lower !
Actually turned out pretty well really,
Glad I drop the angle to, the blunt look is nice and blends with the surrounding panels,

Haha yeah one has to be careful,
And once in colour it will be a lot wider !!

Finished the front end parts all looking good
Really just the gapping to finish now,
On the home run now thank goodness!

Finally got the lower front end spoiler squared
Ready for polyester and final levelling,
This will require zero sealer so will be an easy unbolt removal if required,

But it is a turd so maybe actually accurate
And yes it’s a bit nippley ,

Back on the Turd again,
Almost finished my lower front bib,
This has been a mission but reasonable confident it’ll look good once completed,

Next quarter to door gapping,
Going to have to be creative with this project,
Body sewage alignment is acceptable but square angles are rubbish,
