Will, these motors are used a lot in 'conventional' drag bikes and I thought they were regarded as pretty bulletproof. Obviously not though (gulp).
Are these problems common, or is there something in your design that puts more stress on them?

Re: Insurance
After being with RH for a number of years, I too was aware that it just ticked upwards every year so I made the effort to get on the phone to see if there were better deals around - This is for a 68 Charger, agreed value, breakdown cover, etc. (So that the cover was equivalent in each case). RH - re...

Re: Fifty shades of Jade
Your cad/wind tunnel rider seems to have a standard helmet and suit - where race bike riders now have both wind deflectors on the helmets and humps on the suits. Would this make any difference to your modelling?

Re: CHROMING
No... But I called in there many years ago when I needed the Charger bumper rechromed. The guy said 'yes, we can do anything, at a price'. The stuff on display looked excellent but their quote was astronomic. Similar to London Chroming.

Re: Recommendations to strip paint on grained metal
There are a number of 'professional' paint strippers on ebay - but only look for ones that say 'Danger' and have a skull and crossbones on the tin. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Paint-Stripper-Gel-Removes-Paint-Varnish-Restricted-To-Professional-Use-Only-5L/113532498898?hash=item1a6f1073d2:g:i2oAAOSwxL...

You can keep the original single front side/turn bulb if you use a bulb with one white and one amber filament. LED of course...

Re: 74 Challenger convert lights to UK spec
I had this problem a few years back and decided to make both front and rear lights MOT compliant. So - Front - To get both white and amber bulbs into a single holder you need a dual-filament bulb with one white filament and one orange one! Yes, you can get them in LED form. Here is the previous post...

Thanks Derek. I've never had to use them but there are a couple of firms of solicitors who advertise in the bike press and specialise in representing bike cases.

Re: Swapping engine mounts
Before swapping the drivers side mount, you might want to look at making this mod - http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=ikgb174o285dlf8ma8jreglgu1&topic=13216.0 Easy/free(ish) to do and eliminates the risk of the mount breaking while keeping the rubber mount for no extra vibrat...

Re: News of MMA Member Nipper..
Best wishes for a speedy recovery =D> This may not be uppermost in your thoughts right now of course, but if the accident was caused by a hole or other road defect then it is worth getting someone down there with a camera and tape measure asap, since the local council have a duty to keep the roadway...
