Hope today's meet doesn't turn out to be the last at this venue.According to AACNW web site,Costco who own the car park are to build a petrol station on the site.

this could bugger things up a bit, Costco gas station ...

http://planningdocs.trafford.gov.uk/pam ... cation/pdf

it's all approved and going ahead ...

http://publicaccess.trafford.gov.uk/onl ... A28QL01000

according to a chap at the meet yesterday who had spoken to someone in Costco earlier in the week work is due to start on the new gas station this week

there will still be some car park left, question is if it's enough for the rate at which the meet is growing, see what AACNW do, it's their meet, watch this space

AACNW statement about KK / Costco gas station ...
There will be NO Krispy Kreme meets whatsoever until further notice.

Unfortunately for us the car park we use will become a petrol station in the near future, construction work starting possibly this week.

We will be approaching Costco to see if they have space anywhere else where they can fit us in.

We will also be looking for an alternate venue preferably something similar to what we have now. If you could inform anyone you can think of that is unaware of this, we would be very grateful.

Krispy Kreme replacement

Veterans Garage at City Airport Barton Aerodrome – AACNW meet

1st Sunday of the month 10am to 2pm

more info about Veterans Garage here … http://veteransgarage.co.uk/

NEXT MEET THIS SUNDAY DECEMBER 4th
AACNW wrote:AACNW will be meeting again as normal on the 1st Sunday of every month at the Veterans Garage at City Airport Barton Aerodrome the first being Sunday, December 4th 10am onwards. Veterans Garage is as happy with us as we are with them, they have an ambitious project on the go and things can only get better. There is a small cafe on site, with toilets and this building will be getting a refurb in the near future. As well as our get together there will be lots going on there during the day.

We considered other venues but they were either too far away or lacked even basic facilities. It might take a while to get back the numbers we had at Krispy Kreme but we are hoping everyone who has supported the meet in past will continue to do so and will eventually attract even more.

As you enter the airport we will be meeting in the large car park almost immediately on the right as you enter. Things might look a bit basic compared to being surrounded by the Trafford Centre and all its amenities, however this is an ongoing development at Veterans Garage and from what we have seen today it could get really big. Please spread the word and let's try and make it a success.
