I think Weslake made a lot of stuff for mopars back in the day.Dave Wilson has a set of Weslake heads for the 426 Hemi,,,thay have never been used ...He told me they were made for NASCAR but when the program was dropped the heads were left on the shelf.....Stock rocker arms do not fit ,that is why he still has them....

oh never knew Westlake made them heads Pete , remember reading about those years ago , that were much wider better flow & bigger valves , yes stock rocker gear does not fit , read a artical many years ago , that this guy in the Us built up a hemi with these heads to put in his superbird ,think there was only believed to be 3 complete heads at the time .

there was also another attempt at redesigning the hemi head nothing to do with a nascar one , buy company over here , not sure it was west lake , but it was a disaster , the head was a 71 pro stock head , ports were too small to flow enough air , teams had to switch back to a 70 head , if i remember correctly , even Dandy Dick could not get them to work ,
all the above info , is just going by memory , so could remembering stuff not 100% normally happens , if any one is interested in this info too , will have a look for it & post it up

I remember in the late '70's or early 80's there was a fair bit of prototype stuff floating about, probably all ex. Weslake.

Yes, they sold off a lot of exotic stuff in the 80's when they moved from auto to aero engines. They still service heritage auto stuff though. Based here in East Sussex.
