Gear Vendors overdrive. What is the switch for?

Post by PlymouthGTX »

We had the gear vendors overdrive installed and part of the instalation is a rocker on off switch on the left of steering wheel on the lower dash.

Does anyone know what it does?

Ive asked lots of people and no one knows.

Often there is a manual over-ride to switch the overdrive solenoid on and off...

It's only used if you have an auto transmission. Switch to the left (manual) and switch the overdrive in or out using the foot switch. Switch to the right and if the red light isn't on press the foot switch, the overdrive will now switch in at around 47mph.
My car is a 4 speed so I never fitted that switch, I just fitted the red and green LED's and change manually.
