I also have this Daisy Duke
Roadrunner
I may sell it if the money is enough? a question it is supposed to be a 72 but why does it have 73 Decals on it? and i thought Daisys Roadrunner was a 73? not seen the show in a long time so i do not remember?
A question for Kev that 70 Roadrunner Hotwheels box with a Weiner mobile inside was that a Joke? or is it a real misspackage? i thought it was one of your jokes but now i see you are into them maybe not?

Why so much for these clunkers?
Look at the VW. No sunroof. These were only available in Europe and are somewhat rare. They attract a premium in the States.
2002 price guide (Mint unboxed/mint boxed). Metallic blue with sunroof; $60/$135. Metallic blue no sunroof; $900/$2000.

Got these HW "Classics" in a Wal-Mart in Utah last week. Probably could have got them at the local Asda, but what the hey. All of them are finished in the original Spectraflame candy paint. (Check here for how Mattel achieved the look)
I don't recall seeing an original Rodger Dodger - unusual to see a 3rd gen Charger model.
I have long wanted a King Cuda, but the originals command high prices. This re-issue has attractive flames rather than the racing number 9 on the original's doors, but it does have redline wheels.
The Barracuda Funny Car is a re-issue of the original Don Prudhomme "Snake" Cuda Funny Car (which I have), but this one doesn't acknowledge him. By co-incidence, I read an article in this month's Hemmings Muscle Machines. about how Tom McEwen introduced Prudhomme to Mattel and got the Hot Wheels sponsorship.
I don't remember seeing a Superbird as a kid either - I suspect it can't have a 43 on it due to copyright issues with Petty Enterprises.
