Thanks Guys, long time waiting.
Ivor, Yeah there is several petrol pipes coming out the tank and a seperate plate behind the rear wheel arch, very strange.
Hopefuly it will be going into the bodyshop soon.
Has really bad body roll, all looks a bit saggy on the suspension, probably needs the whole lot changing, front anti roll bar bushes are perished on the drivers side, suppose that would be a good start!
How can you tell on the rear sprngs? apart from they look old.

I had never seen that evaporation unit in the rear of a car before.

What price do Taxis charge over there? or do people not use them with fuel been so cheap? over here a lot of what you make goes on fuel :(

Looks like a good place to be one,you could soon learn the WHOLE place and cheap running costs :D

Hi Tyreman, I left the uk in 2007, Trust me I know half your hard earned goes on fuel, its so expensive, everytime we pop back it goes up.
Not sure of the quality out here but is is cheap, I have passed a VP racing fuel sign near one of the auto shops so I suppose an addative may be needed? Need to check the engine first, I had a tad bit of smoke come out when I tanked it the other week so will need to see.

Taxis are same any where still bloody rip you off! especiallt when your falling out the pub at midnight :x

Hoping to get the car in the bodyshop on Friday for some repairs so it can go for Passing (mot) then I get my plates and off we go!
Then I can start making a snagging list of what needs to be done.

Update 2012!

Post by Anonymous »

Hi all,
Been so busy with work, I did not have time to jump on the car much.
But when I did I stripped it complety back to the shell.
Loads more to do, I have some body panels coming aon a shipment now so hopefully I can get started on that over Ramadan.
Its not 45 degrees outside, as much as it sounds nice, its quite unbearable at times.
Just had the grille restored and the front bumper re chromed locally, really good work to be fair.
Im flying back over for the nats, its been 6 years so I need my Fix and it was always great fun, looking forward to it!.

Cheers guys, yes Adrian remember seeing you the last time, and yes it went to Italy!
I'm taking step by step pics when I put it back together, I took a few when I dismantled it but probably not enough!
I have got a few parts that I will stick on for sale if I can get them through customs in my luggage!
Can't wait to get over, I'll post some more pics when I can, cheers
