Sadly we don't actually know what the story was from a few months ago, but it must have been pretty Bananarama! for him to have grounded her for so long.

The thing is, is that alot of the American families are more "religious" or more "firm" than we are when it comes to discipline.

Having kids myself, and having been 1 (as we all have), we should know what it's like to feel like you have the whole world on your shoulders as a teenager.

Most kids nowadays have no respect, no manners and are real lazy sods.

Please see Justin's rant the other day to know where I'm coming from.

We all agreed with his post, and said more should be done. Well, this guy IS doing more, and you're just shooting him down in flames for it.

At least he's not being physical like some parents, but lessons have to be learnt, and he's dealing with it how he see's fit.

He certainly has my support :thumbright:

Good luck to the bloke =D>

Its the damaging her property i do not agree with. Its dumb

I do not understand why people have kids to dominate them.

If She is doing well at School he should be happy.School and Housework as well i think expecting her to get a Job as well is asking to much.If she gets a job he would probably take most of the money off her i bet to pay keep.

I am not a parent so hard for me to judge fully.

Bet he had a stammer when young and got badly bullied,so that's why he has turned out to be a bully

I do not like doing housework,i think i will have a kid and get them to do it for me :D

Doubt it would be criminal damage as its he bought the laptop and still owns it, albeit the daughter has use of it.

Fair play to him (bit over the top, but i get it)!

Maybe he comes over as being overly strict, but its clear to see he loves his daughter, he just can't understand why a girl he has loved and raised all her life has outed him and the wife over nothing using a social networking site.

THIS country would be a lot better if there were more fathers/mothers that cared what there kids were up to!

From what I have read on here there is a common issue with kids these days they have no work ethic , my dad and I have read alot of fathers over there taught us the same work ethic work for what you want

The girl is 15 and she can get a job if she wants new stuff otherwise settle for what she has.

Kids act like there lives are so tough , they have a roof over there heads, food in the belly, and clothes on the back and a ride to and from school, and they still complain, the guy is so angry his stammer comes back ,he is what we call Bananarama! and rightfully so

my dad wouldn't shoot my stuff but he did at least rule with a heavy hand and that is what most kids need today is a good swift kick in the arse

I posted this because I have read alot of rants on kids these days on this forum and there are alot of common problems, that is for sure

Dam glad I didnt have em :x

Agree entirely Drew, there's a lot of spoilt little Bananarama! on both sides of the pond................. if they want stuff they have to earn, it's not a mystery, it's very simple but it's hard work, I still think blasting a laptop is hilarious tho, that's real life slapstick gone mad ;)
.............I sure am glad I'm not anyone's parent, let alone hers
