1973 Plymouth Roadrunner
As reported elsewhere, i've bought a 1973 Roadrunner Petty Blue 340 car from another well known member.
The car has nearly all new mechanical parts rebuilt/replaced
Pre smog 340 hi po motor with J heads inc original inlet/exhaust manifolds
Rebuilt trans, axle, brakes, steering box, ball joints etc.
Pretty much everything inside the car wants fixing up or replacing.
Body is very straight with little rust, lots of patina and solid frame.

I ought the car based on the work already done, the solid shell and I reckon these cars are still good value and its a proper 340 car which i've always fancied.
It needs a lot of fettling in terms of electrics and dash/interior related parts.
Took me 2 hours to change a rear light bulb today. That included having to drill out 3 of the 6 light lens screws that had rusted solid in position, extract the rusted remains of the existing light bulb and try to get another to fit into the rusted retainer. More 'fun' to follow
The car drives down the road very nicely and this B body benefits from the 'torsion quiet' body bushings that really makes the car smooth to drive.
Brakes need new servo as I can barely hold the pedal don, but thats on the way from Rockauto.
Much more to add in forthcoming months, no doubt!
