just checked that link and both of mine are shown as built 1973.
that was quicker than going through the cupboards to find the V5!

Just to re-iterate for the Aussie owners:

The Manufacture Date on the V5 or on the DVLA's system is most likely wrong. I think thy must have used an import date or something? There is no way to tell the manufacture date of a UK spec (X35) VH-VJ Aussie Chrysler from looking at the vehicle.

Go to the list and hope it's in there!

So even if your Aussie Charger's V5 says manufactured in 74, check the list anyway, it could actually have been made in 73 but imported and sold later.

New tax disc arrived yesterday. :thumbright:
All my paperwork was returned and a letter saying my new V5C and refund will follow.

Excellent, I am wondering if I can just send my V5 off and get the tax class changed without an MOT as mine are both off road at present.
Might give it a go.

I was wondering about that too. After all the info on valid insurance and MOT test is held in a database isn't it.

Went into post office, armed only with the V5C today, walked out 10 minutes later with half the V5C & a new tax disc.

Easy as that, they changed the taxation class there & then, sent the V5C off for me & presented me with a form to claim the tax back on the existing disc.
No drama at all, probably because the car was first registered in the UK in 1973, so no need to prove its age.

Long over due, but got there in the end

I dug out my log books and it says the class can only change when taxing it so i will have to wait a while.

I was just going on what the star on the log book said when I dug it out.
However mine are SORN so maybe not so easy.

I might just stick it in the post anyway, got a few weeks before I need any documents.
