Newbie saying hello - novice needs help...

Post by Numbers »

Hi all,

I'm a self confessed car nut who has a passion for anything on four wheels. After going to the Mopar Euronats a couple of years ago, I've been hooked and will be going to this years weekend too with my boy in tow. So far I have managed to keep myself contented with reading magazines and watching various TV shows, but the time may be upon me to actually own a slice of Mopar myself - just need to see if the wife will let me keep the current 2 seater weekend fun car as well or not!

I'm going to have a look at this http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C729673 tomorrow. It ticks a lot of the boxes in what I am looking for (no rear seat belts, but believe these can be retro fitted easily enough), but my car knowledge doesn't stretch to American Classics, so Camaro specific issues will be unknown to me.

Are there any companies who will look at a car for you? Not sure the typical AA/RAC check will be worth much on such a vehicle!

Thanks in advance to any help, hints or tips you can offer. Looking forward to continue reading some old posts on here.

Welcome, that's a great looking car with quite a few non-standard upgrades.

As you say, there are not that many people with such specialised knowledge to give a valid view on it.

The only suggestion I have is Jim (Challenger on here) as he is reasonably close to that location. He may have a look for you.

All the best

Thanks - though I note a first post fail - I've posted it in the junior section! Reposted in the main Mopar lounge now.
