Brake fluid

I am replacing my master cylinder and would like to know which type of brake fluid is best to use on this old cars.

Any recommendation

I just bought a gallon from Halfords (own brand) Ali when I did mine.Only thing recommended is to bench bleed before fitting.

I always use a DOT 4, no particular brand, but generally a known brand
