Anyone know where JCP 589F is?

Post by Mopaul »

Just curious as to the whereabouts of a '68 Roadrunner I sold back in 2006 is nowadays.
It was, I believe the 2nd Mopar to be owned by Dave Billadeau and is shown on the 'about Dave' page of his website. It was painted a kind Petty blue colour at the time.

Funnily enough it popped up on the "UK Mopars" Facebook page yesterday, owned by Jamie Sissons, and looking very much like my old 68.

This was it when I had it.
Also has damage in the rear quarter where a trolley jack slid across the boot.

Yeh,my old car,I put the trolley jack into the rear quarter, pulling right out of a junction  ,that car ran 14.9s until engine rebuild where it did a best of 13.6.
Jerry Smith bought it from Georgia, came in with my 70 GTX in the same container.
I think it was white originally, then maroon, then black when I got it,I painted it blue, which was a porsche colour.
I P/Xd my challanger and £1000,think it was for sale at £4500,had morris Ital front seats,I bought the bench from another 68 roadrunner.
Dont remember what I did with steel hood

I part ex'd my C3 Corvette for it back in 2006 with a guy down Amersham way, I think. Had a ball for a few Months. Took it to Shaky and the transmission packed up, lost reverse and top gear.
Crawled home in 2nd behind a truck down the M40 and A34, just as I got home the radiator blew. It also had an oil leak from which went in to be sorted but it leaked just as bad after blowing a Grand on having it ''repaired''.
