Last Wednesday of the month at The Crocodile EN8 9NQ

Post by Slowhand »

As some know I am involved with a couple of the main Mustang clubs and organise a monthly meet at The Crocodile Pub in Cheshunt EN8 9NQ -

Its not only Mustangs......we have been getting some very interesting stuff turning up but I reckon it needs more MOPARs to spice it up!

Sorry about the crappy photos taken on my antique phone in the half light (my excuse and I'm sticking with it)

Turn up from about 7:00pm ish. All welcome. Pub grub at sensible prices but they stop serving food at 9.00 sharp.

Normally a good crowd: see you there?

Could be a nice run down on a summer's evening Roy, I'll see if I'm allowed out.
PS I just checked where it is and my daughter's got a footie match (U12) tomorrow, just about opposite at Cheshunt School.
By the end of the week I'll have picked up the local accent. innit.

That's my old school and the original Crocodile which was a spit and sawdust on that site was where I had my first illegal pint. I'll see if I can make it.

Yeah - the old (tiny) 'Crocodile' pub was where all the local villains used to meet I seem to recall from my yoof........... Next to Harrys Motorbike shop which was far more interesting to me as a kid...........

Then they flattened the lot & McMullens built the existing set up.

Be great so see some Mopars there on Wednesday :)

Thanks for passing this around Dave. Turned out to be a busy evening despite intermittent rain. Some interesting cars.

Here's a couple of pics I took between the light showers.

Weds 26th clashes with Harpenden Classic on The Common, Roy, so it might be a quiet month..... ;)

I think they might both be quieter than usual if the weather forecast can be trusted :( :toothy2:

Fingers crossed for better weather than the past couple of months.
Thread title changed to reflect the date of the next meet (30th August)

Hope to see some Mopar-ists mixing it up with the other Yankee stuff.

Crocodile pub in Cheshunt being refurbished

Post by Slowhand »

Just to save anyone a wasted journey who might be thinking of coming along next Wednesday....THE PUB IS CLOSED for full refurb. apparently. (so don't bother coming for the regular 'Last Wednesday' meet)

We've put it back a week to the 4th October if anyone fancies it? (wonder what they've done with the old place?)

Hope to see you there?
