Engine lifting plates

we use a plate for lifting motors, my dad made it himself, its less than a 1/4 inch ss plate then slightly thicker plate that we put a D shackle thru and use the crane to lift it, we have lifted the ali motor complete with the trans and we lifted the 605 complete with trans in to the car with it, as it has a trans shield and its easier to bolt it all together out of the car as you cant get to the bell housing bolts at the top of the block, it works fine just dont try it by yourself you want a least 2 people
