Got my Rollmaster timing set from Oz Ebay, good price, quick delivery.

Ive got rollmaster set as well

the top of the range one comes with 3 keyways and a nice thrust bearing if appropriate

and their romac balances are nice too

Like Blue says, make sure you clean the sump out and get rid of any bits and bobs as the slightest remnant can jam the oil pump solid... seen that a few times.

Sorry to hear the engine has packed up!
This is a timewarp vehicle in great condition!!!

I fitted a new Oilpump last year to your engine, and recommended at the time to the owner, a full recondition due to the mileage.
As the engine ran so well, he was sure there would be no need.
I checked the crank bearings, they were fine, and the compressions were also ok.

As always you can't force people to have work done.

If you need any work done, ie machining etc., I would be more than happy to help.

Thanks for the advice and thanks to Baccaruda for the info. Presumbly when you changed the oil pump etc you had to drop the oil pan. I've got a nice double roller timing chain fitted now (picture below).
So the next question is -
How easy is it to take off the oil pan with the engine still in the car? We have had a look at it and it looks like we might have to remove the centre part of the steering gear. But will we need to undo the engine mounts and raise the engine abit, in order to have enough room to drop the pan? Is this the easiest way?

just mark the tie rods so you put them back in the same place otherwise your front end will be al over the place, and when replacing the sump the two end gaskets can fall in easally, sometimes converting to nuts and studs is easyer than fidling with the bolts while trying to hold the pan up at the same time.
