Thanks for the comments guys I'm really pleased with the way the car turned up. I was initially thinking about a '70 Charger but also have a soft spot for a '73 VJ Valiant Charger 770 due to a matching pair of them being in the family at one point in time back in Aus when I was a young lad.
I was then just looking through some books on the Charger history and the first photo I saw was the '66 Lawman Charger. Even though it was a B&W photo I thought the lines on it looked stunning. That was pretty much my mind made up from there.
As to the whole stock/resto mod debate, I couldn't be happier with the way the car looks at the moment so doing anything short of what's required by MoT isn't even a thought
