It would be good to see the Valiant down there.

We will take up your kind proposal with Brooklands and get back to you - let's just hope it does not rain on the day.... ;)

Well done Derek......Fantastic news!!!! :thumbright:

Have been twice and have to say its the best static event I've been too. Not just the cars but the museum on its own is worth a good look!

To Marshall the event properly......does this now mean we (MMA) have control over who is allowed onto the show site?

As from memory, the issues came from non MMA members let in by Brooklands staff????????

This is great news!

Thank you Derek.

As long as work doesn't take me away, do count me in as a helper on the day.

All the best

Feel free, but anyone that does will be straight out of the club. No messing.
Isn't that why it was lost as a venue to attend, seem to remember someone posting something along those lines?

Yes it was, incidents 2 years running I think, and not by our members either.

Steady Dave - we have 18 months to organise this.

We need to understand Brooklands requirements and the commercials surrounding the return of the MMA.

We don't just rock up and put our High Viz jackets on.

This is fantastic news for the club and a real achievement after great perseverence by Derek. Top job Mr Carter.

Suggestion: is there something we can issue (like the A4 MMA discount page for the Euronats) that is large and obvious and can be prominently displayed in car windscreens as MMA members cars enter or leave the site?? What I'm getting at is can we clearly show any Brooklands people which cars are ours so that if a Mopar, a Chrysler 300 or whatever messes around we can say clearly if that A4 paper was not on the car it is not a MMA club member. If something happens they may not care about whether they were a club member or not but I think after what happened last time we want to be sure as a matter of pride in the club that we can identify our cars.

I would also suggest writing to Brooklands to formally advise them of the 'one strike and you are out rule' in Pete's post.

Think we want to do everything to avoid giving any opportunity for future exclusion which might not be rescinded next time.
