And having owned one first hand for a month,it went to the salvage auction at a loss for me :oops:
I bought the car at an auction, I could only drive it back and forth in the lot,

I think I paid $1500.00 back in 88,it was a 5 speed,it worked well for a simple driver,then the trans went out, and it would have costed at the time $1600.00 to replace it, so I sent it to the grave,and the car was just a real pile of, it has rattles, the sunroof flew off one morning, I remember seeing the glistening of the glass in the sunrise blowing up in the rear view mirror,and the breeze inside the car, yea a real winner of a car :roll:

Given Chryslers established presence, they would likely have done quite well in Seth effrica, given the popularity of things like Nissan "bakkies" (as the locals called them) had they have marketed such a model?

they did

aussie Chryslers were exported to SA

in fact south Africa also had a BorgWarner factory making the aussie Transmissions and rear ends

the bodies came from all over

US Aus Mexico/Brazil local

I thought the valiants that you posted above were home brew pickup conversions? Are they the Aussie factory efforts, then?
