Yea , those pics are Bananarama! , if you want a job doin.............................. ;)

Headers have'nt left the States yet , can't believe how laid back they are , when the order was put through (3 weeks ago) they had them in stock so were gonna ship em that same day , phoned to find out where they are & the chap tells me he made a mistake & sold the last pair , reckons there gonna ship thursday.

Given up caring anymore , more to life than Mopars.

Had nothing but agro putting this motor together & makin it fit (no reflection on Jerry) , nothing went as clockwork , was a problem every step of the way , from sump to fuel lines , most parts had to be reconfigured/worked or replaced , i knew it would'nt be a bolt in jobbie but never thought it would be this much work. Example: had to cut the filler neck off the rad to get it back in the rad support area & fit a remote filler neck/cap . this is just one of many many mods that had to be done.
Going from a 4150 to a 4500 has been a pain too , nothing interchanges with each other , even down to the throttle linkage brackets , kickdown cable , throttle cable , nitrous plate , fuel lines , vac ports........................ would i do it again? probably , next step will be seein how it performs on the road......................Would'nt be so bad if you had a chrystal ball & could have all the necessary parts on hand for the swap , it's when you come up against problem after problem & have to rely on parts from the states , tis the waiting game that takes it's toll.

Not moaning but sayin how it is , probably feel a bit better when it's up & running.

I bet the motor has got to go a LONG way up and side to side to get those headers in.

Stand by for lots of swearing.

That is a LOT of engine Adam! As Pete said, the headers are gonna be fun, I would have seriously considered bolting them up first, and in underneath on the K frame.

I always try to be helpful!

Tis a hell of a lot easier bolting every up before the headers go in , makes starter motor fitting a walk in the park , reckon i can lift drivers side 2" which will give me the clearance i need , the starter motor cables will be connected to the starter motor although disconnected from bat & solinoid , will feed the cables through the headers & then connect to bat & solinoid.

This has to be the easiest way to get everything buttoned up , imagine working on the engine & box without headers bein in the way , gotta be the next best thing to havin sex :D , the old 1 7/8th headers fitted in ok with the motor off the mount around an inch , so should'nt be a problem , will sit it on the rear bumper if i have too. ;)

Adam.
When that motor is up and running ( sweet) and your beating all those A Bods out of site, you'll know all this grief is worth it.

Focus your mindset to the next base of progress, that way your always be ahead.

Me, I am looking forward to seeing you and Al run again this summer.
Rich. :D
