Blue,

The underside is blue and the inside of the door jams are a different shade of blue to the body (which I thought was the original). Interesting all the same.
Looks like I had a silver car from the factory!

Well car won't make the last event of the year............ :evil:

Lots of issues this year, most non car related tbh which has put hurdle after hurdle in the way. This was topped of by the company I work for going under on Tuesday. This has been a potential for nearly a month so all spending was put on hold and has lead to the HRD mods being delayed/suspended.

Luckily after going through the same thing three years ago, I saw the warning signs and secured my future with another company 10 days ago........ :D

So at least I don't have to sell it or live in a bin!

Crap really as I've pushed hard to get the car to a point this year, only for external factors to Bananarama! up the plans...............

So 2016 it is..........Picnic & NATS debut (third time lucky) or I'll sell it and get a bloody push bike.

Sunny weather please....... 8-)

Very good news to know you are secure employment-wise, cars are secondary.

Will you still come to the HRD's in the Euro-Box? It would be good to see you there.

Yes Pete, will be at the HRDs supporting the track and the MMA guys in the daily.

Dart needs new Brakes as their is a air leak in the diaphragm on the servo. Got a whole new unit to go on. Also has multiple blows from the exhaust system, so may as well put a whole new one on and dump the manifolds and go for headers. Needs a tune plus a few other minor issues, then MOT.

Then I can start the 2016 mods early........... :D :twisted: :thumbright:

Great news, living in a bin would suck.

Dave cars are hobbies only and life is first, glad you got the job front sorted, Dart will be there whenever you have time and money to sort.

Stick in there Dave...this will be great car in its own time. Settle in new job, few nights in the garage over the winter and you will be game on for 2016! :thumbright:

No mate, bringing le familia with me, so just day trippin.

Think next year I'll invest in some decent camping gear and do the overnighters......... 8-)
Then you can preach about rear doors on cars and their uses...... :D

Update time.............

For the first time ever I have a car that has brakes................. :D

A BIG thankyou to Jim Smith (Challenger on here), for undertaking the work. My car went on its yearly pilgrimage to him to get the stuff done that a) I cant do, and b) don't have the tools for.

Since day one I've had a vac leak on the diaphragm on the servo. This lead to the revs rising and next to minimal brake effect. So I purchase a 'right stuff detailing' servo and MC from Summit. At the same time I decided I may as well put new discs and pads on, plus sort out the grumbling wheel bearings with new Timken pieces.

I have also had an exhaust system with more holes in it than swiss cheese. Manifold leaks and blowing back boxes etc...........
Decided to go with Dougs headers so I could get rid of the rusty manifolds, plus I've always want flowmasters on my yank.....so a set of 40 series were sourced for the other end.

Jim worked his magic on the brakes and has fabricated a whole new system to tie the exhaust all together........... 8-)

He also looked at a couple of things that I hadn't asked him to.......top bloke! :thumbright:
