it is mate - one of the original cars from the John Carpenter film too so its special. One of the 5 close up cars. It needs a lot of work though.

John's really turning the wick up now, that is excellent...I'm glad you haven't gone for the original "overspray and bare metal" approach underneath, you can actually drive this one! :thumbright:

Well, the thing is, although we all like a bit of originallity, you have to be realistic with these things. If we are all honest, the fit and finish of these cars when new was rubbish. They certainly werent built with longevity in mind. If JPC and I are going to go to all this hassle / expense to do the car, why on earth would you want to replicate the very weaknesses in its construction that helped it into the condition it was in when I received her???

At least with what John has done we have some fighting chance of keeping her solid for a decent amount of time. As I have said, she will get driven, and hard. I want her to look as stock as possible because I like the stock cars, but not to the point that she is brought back to the original crap quality from the factory. ;)
