Looking at the engagement on the sunshell, are you sure the frictions are all engaged? The drum looks to be sitting a bit high in the sunshell to me.

It might be because the box was not full upright ion the jig.
How does this look , it's upright

More pics of rouge bolt.

I did a google image search and it came up with it being typical of a Mopar trans casting.....may narrow it down to at least knowing it is part of the gearbox and hasnt crept in somehow....

A gearbox is what they call a steering box in the USA. They call a gearbox as we know it a transmission.

I've got both band adjustment screws, I guess I'll find out later as I get further through putting it back together.

I notice the front servo lever isn’t in, Could that rogue bolt be being used as it’s locating shaft?

I've got the correct pin and blanking allen grub screw.
I'll have another good look tomorrow

Strengthend the strut

Mystery bolt identification solved.
It was the bolt I used with the slide hammer to remove the oil pump front cover in the bell housing.
It suddenly came to me. Old age issue.
The clue was it didn't smell of auto trans oil.

Hate mysteries like that!
