Yeah is been taken out! Me and my dad were working on it and we got to the point of doing the sump and we felt like we were out of our knowledge zone. We thought we might aswell just get the whole thing rebuilt seen as it's still winter.
Got it put on a recovery vehicle on sunday morning and taken to Dave billadeau's place. He took the engine out the same day and me and my dad went to see it yesterday and boy was it sight!

-The pistons had hit the valves
-some of the push rods had bent
-it was covered in oil/crap

One puzzling thing was that he took the sump off and there were no teeth in the bottom so it must have been cleared out last year before i got it!

Basically Dave said that it was knackered, which is completly understandable considering the mileage it has done!

So what is the plan with the engine then? Just a basic rebuild back to stock?
