 @ that chassis.
makes you wonder why Impalas are so popular as lowriders with a chassis shaped like that.

Twolanes, your charger is no longer the rattiest :)

The 61-64 Impala X-frames like this certainly aren't the easiest shapes to make templates for...

Will, I remember meeting you at RTTS in about 1997 where you had a Mopar engined Datsun. That was when Eddie's Datsun low-low was white. Time flies, eh?

It looks like I will be picking up the Charger tomorrow. Will keep everyone posted but needless to say I hope it makes it (on trailer) to my wedding this Saturday

Jonny,I hope you're going to write about this one as well, been watching the Impala develop with interest. I had a stock '65,that broke it's chassis behind the fuel tank.

Yep, watch this space for info in Classic American. Glad you're enjoying the Impala. Big progress on this shortly. I've also found the best bloke in the world to help reassemble it after paint.

It wasn't cheap as chips but it was reasonable (i think!) for what I got. She's in the country and made it to my wedding, albeit on a trailer. Am on honeymoon at moment in Santa Cruz then will come home and start derotting and getting it running sweet.

More pics on their way. She's no more rotten that I could see, apart from some on the front windscreen pillar.....

Loving this forum though.

I don't know how I missed this one! Welcome aboard and I love both the Charger and the Impala...Blue would really like that boxed chassis.

The only person likely to look up to me Mister R, is Bri from Crewe, and that's questionable!

Cheers guys. Ivor - just read your website and full respect to the vehicle CV and haircuts. That supershed of youirs is awesome. I did a similar thing 2 years ago when I got on the housing ladder, but the problem is it's full of Bananarama! now and barely enough room to swing the Charger in.

The Impala is about to get some paint so that should speed up the reassembly process. Having more than 2 projects on the go simultaneously is not CREDIT CRUNCH savvy but here goes nothing.

Watch this space....
