yes it was my car - I know Matt Jones who works for Top Gear now from Practical Classics days and he asked me if they could take some pics on a trip to the Ace classics night.
The point he was making in the article is a fair one - objectively, the brakes, handling and fuel economy are terrible compared to even the most basic modern box. And the new one probably won't explode in a cloud of steam on the hard shoulder of the M5 on one of the coldest nights of the year, as mine did just before New Year
But Matt was pretty jealous of it since he's without a classic at the moment and if you read to the end of the article he still says he'd rather have the old one than a new one...
