That's been on our to-do list for about 30 years

Why? I went out of my way to keep mine. Part of the history of the car. Met 2 of the original owners as a consequence.

I agree with Roger, I'm keeping my 78 plate.

Didn't mean to infer it was a requirement, more a suggestion. Obviously personal choice, just used to seeing the majority of older cars ( British and American ) with date correct licence plates. Personally, think they look better that way

I'm behind on my formal updates but I thought I'd jump ahead with some good news: the Charger passed its MOT on Friday!

Very happy, to say the least. After sinking so much time and money into it I was concerned that it might turn out to be a bit uninspiring (or have further hidden issues), but it drives far better than I ever expected. It's got some serious muscle, too! :thumbright:

Didn't get to spend much time with it this weekend, though, so I'm looking forward to next weekend already. I'm not putting any more miles on it until I've changed a few things, mind - primarily the tyres (which look immaculate but are old, so I'd rather err on the side of caution) and the radiator hoses. Would like to change the oil again, too.

Going to get back to the keyboard soon, as well, and write up the updates leading up to the test.

Well done, an MOT is always a major result and a big relief.

Glad the wait (and expense) was worth it!

Good pictures too!

Great news. I remember the relief of that first one. Over the years most bits are new so I dread it less. More scared that the law changes rather than the car has issues !

I'm with Rebel. Age related all the way. Mine was on a '79 T when I got it and I got an 'F' assigned. I like the 'F' as quite a few people are shocked how old it is. Charger doesnt actually look like a near 50yr old design.

Any Mopar is a GOOD Mopar 8-)

Take no notice of Andy, he is nearly house-trained now.

Andy is just jealous as he doesn't have a car, he has to drool over others. :P :P :P
