might get a pair of the electric ones. 8-)
I just noticed that was actually a question.

Yes. I think they seal pretty well. They will need cleaning now and again to keep them working right though.

I have been involved in a major works project at work the last couple of weeks and along with weekends away and with a general lack of energy due to my illness when I get home i have not been able to do much on the car. I still have about three weeks on this project at work too.

But tonight I finally finish welded the passenger side exhaust pipe. All I need to do on that side now is shorten the tail pipe slightly and drill the trunk floor for the tailpipe hanger.

I will also grind the welds down slightly to check for pinholes in my welding.

I need to get into gear or i will not make the EuroNats in the car. But I get so tired with this illness and if I push myself too hard i just make myself more ill. :(

Thanks for the offer Rebel but I have to do the work myself. Just giving me a hand wouldn't make any difference to my illness or the amount of work done on the car.

But thanks for that mate. I know it was a serious offer.

I just get so frustrated with not being able to work on the car. :x

He's as mad as a box of fogs.

He follows me around the house constantly. I have to lock him out of the garage when welding or grinding in case I hurt his eyes or set fire to him. He is under my feet as I type.

Very nice exhaust Dave- the time you're spending on it certainly shows!
It's pretty tight to the overdrive unit, do you think you'll need to heatshield it?

What the images do not really show is the way the pipe undulates and twists. The only straight section is the bit with the cut-outs in!

That side of the GV unit is going to be fine for heat etc. But the side I need to do next has the speedo and solenoid cables coming out.
I will have to give them a bit of room or risk toasting them.

I have the cuts I need to do in two bends (to make one bend to place the pipe in the right spot) worked out in my head. But I am going to see Blue Oyster Cult tonight with an old mate before a few pints in our old biker bar haunt so God knows if what it will end up like on Saturday morning when I do it.
