Oh blimey, apparently they have the dog back again now, home was unsuitable. (Guy lived with his mum and she didn't approve or something!)
So this fella is still looking for a proper home.

The new addition to the Bratby family. His Name is Nelson, he's a 6 year old Lab cross Newfoundland that we picked up from the Humane Society (bit like RSPCA) on Tuesday and he's turning into a mommy's boy already!!

didn’t have the best of starts to the new year. our dog Stanley, first posted
HERE took his final trip to the vet Friday. one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. he had been very poorly over Christmas and didn’t really respond to medication. he was at the vet 3 times last week, when I took him Friday, the vet said he had a really bad heart murmur which should have eased with the drugs, but he reckons he also had a large tumour in his chest cavity which was affecting his heart, an x-ray was out of the question due to his age. he was an old boy, 15 yr at least. he had slowed down a lot over the last year and we knew he didn’t have long. he got very short of breath and could hardly walk. it’s a bit quiet round here at the moment, it’ll take a bit of getting used to, but we have some great memories

That's sad.
I liked the look of him when you posted his picture the first time. Lovely looking dog. But the nicer they are the bigger the gap left in your life when they go.

my deepest condolences, its inevitable but it still hurts.
Look to the future, you can offer a home to another deserving dog out there.

Had a phone call at 1am from a guy I know.. "Help, please take this dog!" So he brought her round. A Mastif X Staff bitch pup. Only 4 months old, still on baby teeth, but already getting big. 15 kg and counting. Feet the size of a grizzly and her skin doesn't come in her size. That makes her incredibly hard to pick up becuase her skin just slides off her LOL. Very laid back personality.
I am rehoming her as I think she is going to bankrupt me if I keep her.

Lovely looking dog. You are wise to pass her on. I have owned giant breeds and they are proper expensive. Make sure she gents plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of calcium. Bowl of milk twice a day and I'd recommend scrambled eggs n such for brekkie. She will grow so fast if you don't get her fed on the right stuff she will end up with all sorts of problems with her bones and joints.
RIP.....My biglad
