Place the blower on top of the engine as is and take photo's.

Then photoshop it with all the ideas above and more.

Should give you an idea of what will look good and what wont!

Agree on the chrome/shiney bits though. With the hood off it probably wont look right with the gold! :thumbright:

i Just did something very cleaver or very silly 8-[

I wanted all my engine parts to have a black textured look.

Wanted to stay away from powder coat so i painted everything with a pickup truck bed liner spray
:? :? :?

First all parts where sanded cleaned 2k primmer then i blasted them with U/pol raptor spray. Its hard wearing and ok with high temps.

I used a Shzuz Gun to give the textured look.

Its drying now hope it comes good or going to be a mare to get off

Will see what its like tomorrow once dry

Put the spray gun down and step back son.

Some men in white coats will be along shortly and they will give you a nice warm jacket to wear as they take you for a drive in their lovely van with flashing lights.

Well! I'm not sure...
I like the contrast with the gold, but I dunno about the deep texture.
I bet it's a lot different in the flesh, and like you say it's for you, so as long as you're happy with it that's what matters :thumbright:

If your happy thats all that counts! :thumbright:

Not sure myself as i prefer clean flat lines........Be interesting to see how it looks when everything is bolted on and its dropped in the bay!

Which way are you going with the blower scoop.......Black or Gold?
