The biggest bit of damage is on the driver side main rail around the motor mount .. tube is bent upwards .. hard to see in the photo

The front corners are damaged too but these will be chopped out

The chassis and cage behind the firewall is dead square and level :thumbright:

Been really busy with " real " work lately so haven`t done much carwise

Nose has been cut to allow bottom rails to be pulled straight ( which they now are ). Needs a bit more pushing and pulling before the front section is rebuilt to suit the new body pick ups

Started assembling dry sump parts today ready for conversion of existing motor with some parts that I`ve been collecting.

Barnes 6 stage pump ( used )
Moroso pump drive pulleys ( new )
Dry sump ( new )
Oil tank ( used )
Crank scraper ( new )
Vented header ( used )

I will then modify the block as follows :

Remove internal pump
Tap and plug oilway from pump to filter inlet
Remove and shorten oil pump drive shaft to just clear standard bushing

Thanks Guy .. Happy New Year

No ... I`m using all 5 suction ports off the 3 pick ups from the sump, each sump pick up goes through a strainer to protect pump .. Hopefully you can see the drawing ? .. 2 delivery ports blocked off.

The oil pressure is then set up with the adjuster on the far left of the combo.

Stupid me I forgot about the pressure side five suck and one blow equals six

Just trying to get my head round this

Do the 2nd and 4th stages have a bleed off into the 1st and 5th or do they just dead head (which I would have thought would not be good for the pump or the oil)

Chamber 1 is closed off to the others

Chamber 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 are all open to each other on the suction side and open to each other on the discharge side

By doing it this way I am trying to keep a mist of oil over all the vanes but keep the pressure up on the discharge side between pump and tank
