Yes you are so right I am glad I did this ,there is so much to see in both our counties ,but it is still nice to jump on a plane and see other lands,I have done that alot more, so a trip like this makes me appreciate what we have right here just a days drive or so and we can see alot in a relatively small area, how ever some of this Desert starts looking the same.

I drove yesterday from the coast to Vegas (I found a bargain for 59 bucks Mandalay Bay 33rd floor king size bed ,a very palatial room) 500 miles in 7.5 hours.

I had my power steering belt go the pump shaft is sloppy,a brand new unit and I drove for 200 miles with out ps,until I found a parts store and fixed it this is an easy fix for s stock system but I have a March pulley system so it used the 6 rib serpentine type belt so it was trial and error till I found the correct one,an hour later Iwas back on the road.

I dont want to complain till I get home but I have some stories.

I will get this off my chest now Roland makes alot of money and he has paid some else to build his car I dont make that much coin so I have done all the work my self,he dosent seem to care about trashing his car so much so he kept parking to close to my car and he let his door ding my 1/4 panel and I was livid I know part of a road trip but very careless on his part and barely an apology he said "send me the bill" well it will be hefty amount due to his careless attitude .

any way I have a ton of pics I will post up in a few days but here are my last pics.

Ahh a bit more energy I can a tleast tell you guys what happened coming down the mountain 100 miles from home ,Vail Colorado.

I noticed a creaking in the upper right control arm in Green river Utah not bad,but the car became a bit loose the more turns I ,I also knew that there was a storm front coming in and the pass is 11,000 ft with snow ,so I pulled off in town looked at the front end bounced it and I think the alignment eccentric has come loose,I am to tired to jack the car up now but that is my first impression .

How ever I have a very close friend that is a Colorado State trooper,as I came down the mountain I was taking it easy bout 65 is and I the CHP lights I follow protocol, slow down move all the way over to the next lane and sure enough she gives me a look, she is a friend so this is a funny story,.

I check in to our local wateringhole and her Husband is sitting there ,

I asked is your wife working today? he says yea why? well I said I saw her

She had some illeagles pulled over in a white pick up truck.

she texted back, yea first thing if Ididnt have that truck pulled over Iwould have pulled you over for.............

Muffler violation ,no front plate, and some funny dive sticker on a Colorado classic plate..she has some fast eyes for sure,

then she also said Black car............looking for trouble

then her third thought was there was an APB out for a new challenger but that was a silver car so she iwas very candid about it and was disappointing that I didnt stop and talk to her and I said I would have but my car was acting up,and doing that on the side of the hiway is just not safe those cops take a huge risk having to do that job.

Ok so I called AAA free towing for 200 miles ,flat bed shows up and I am on my way toward home,we get with in 20 miles from my house and the truck has a flat tire, yea just my luck but the driver Billy and I just laughed it off,

a really nice guy he harvests road kill all season all kinds of critters.

Feeds the raccoons and chipmunks near his home in Rifle Co. a real cool guy,

so an hour later and 15 bucks we were back on the road and home by 5 pm friday, not to bad considering I was on the coast on wednesday

If you want me to tell how I feel about Roland I can as I am not to happy with him. he just put everything down about my country complained about the people called us inbreds a real kill joy

but I dont want to be to negative rant here I am mostly a positive thinker ,I will say this I am amazed with the amount of money he has in that car (100kEuros) that is dosent run better and spew oil all on the ground he went through 3 gallons of oil in 3k miles I used one quart,a quart is about a liter,4 quarts to a gallon you get my dirft he used a lot of oil, his car got to hot so he couldent do the speed limit 75 mph,he could only do 60 and he really slowed the trip down we had to play catch up. every day sorry about this rant I have it on my mind

That is it about Roland

:angryfire:

I will post up some pics as soon as I have time

I could tell from your Facebook posts you were starting to loose enthusiasm at times on this trip. I understand why now.

I'll give you a call during the week mate.

Hi Drew.
A shame you had your trip dampened by this guy .
Surely he realised what was involved in a road trip ?
It's the little things that go wrong that you look back and laugh at ( except the door incident !!!)
Some great pics Wished I could have tagged along !!
Thanks for posts. Glad your home safe
