I spoke to Simon yesterday, told him I'm not sure if the new engine will be ready and installed. Anyway he asked me to bring the car up whatever ..... might have to be a static display this year but at least it will be there

Well it looks like I might be running at Speedfest. I'm picking my new engine up this Friday 22/5 so gives me 2 weeks to get it fitted. I'm told I can probably get a few gentle laps in on the Saturday behind a pace car, this will be ideal as Roger tells me the engine could do with 20 minutes easy driving before resetting the valve lash and changing the oil. I can then pretty much go b@lls out on the Sunday but just short shifting a little to keep the revs to around a 6500 limit. Well this is the plan anyway ... :?

Derek - is there a limit on Club member numbers at all? (i.e. like Brooklands?)
