Ta Chris...
I would possibly Chop it if it was in budget...which it won't be....don't think I'm skilled enough to attempt that much metalwork...
Regardless it's such a beautiful shape ...like a 1950 Bentley continental but sleeker

Well done Steve, you know I'm a big Caddy fan, looking forward to updates on this. I nearly bought the silver 48 Sedanette that was for sale over here a few months ago. Let me know if I can help with any parts leads or info
I've just sold my trusty 57 Cadillac that I've had a few years, replaced it with a 54.

Hey Steve - good to see this, wondered where you'd been. Sweden could be a good source for parts. The Swedes really love the big Caddys and the exchange rate is 12 krona to the pound. Last year was only 10 - 1 . Guess you are steering away from the guy working on your cuda hood this time? Did he ever Bananarama!?

Lance is a good mate of mine Mike...but just a misunderstanding it's all cool and done just not fitted yet.
I have a friend in Sweden who's mate has the same model...lots of spares apparently...so yeah they love their Cadillacs

That'll be good to see Steve. And you've a top guy for metal work. I guess it comes down to that old thing about having friends doing work for friends. I remember years ago giving a car radio to friend who said he could repair them. I asked him for it back 4 weeks later. Finally got it back 6 weeks later exactly the same as before. I guess Lance was just stacked with work. Anyway glad it got sorted out what ever the delay was down to.

How's your Fan working all sorted ??
Got to fit my fan and hook it up and see next
And new manifold gaskets as I've blown the paper ones to bits racing
So gone for Percys soft Ali gaskets....reusable and don't blow out.

Really great car

as many have said the chop looks like a mountain of time and money... Think the lines look great as is and the addition of the sun visor on on of the pictures posted makes the roofline look a little more aggressive, at least from the front. The big full WW tyres look badass as well. Oh and air, definitely air.
I really like this though... In the same vein as the blown sleeper that RW71 posted.
