Re: Blue's Barracuda
Thats it then, all the original hardware was either missing, knackered or broken so just waiting for the new stuff to arrive. I think that will pretty much be it for the interior, other than sorting out the seat belts which like most things were on this car, a ropey mis match.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
I think so too, it would originally have had white seats as well...

Loving the way this is coming on, & that interior is transformed.
Fantastic quality of workmanship on everything. Watching your build is helping to keep me motivated on mine!![salute :salute:](./images/smilies/icon_salut.gif)

Thanks Lee, motivating other people to have a go is important to me. I would love to have taken this down to a bare shell like you have but I don't have the skills to paint a whole car or the money to pay someone else, plus I didn't want the car off the road in the summer months, So bite size chunks it is...

Re: Blue's Barracuda
I know what you mean re the paint job Blue. I'm on a tight budget with mine so plan to paint it myself, but don't fancy painting everything in one go & I'm concerned about debris in the paint. The plan is to use a good direct gloss which should hopefully let me paint everything in stages & flat well back afterwards for a uniform finish. That's the plan anyhow.
I think the way you've done it makes a lot of sense, working on it whilst having something that's close to driveable most of the way through. At least you're not looking at a pile of bare steel wondering where to start!

Re: Blue's Barracuda
The annual winter refit has been a bit slow getting going this year due to one thing and another. I have been collecting parts though including a Stinger six pack hood which finally arrived Monday. It's a real quality item that bolts on it the conventional manner but still only weighs 25lb. The scoop is downsized somewhat to suit A body proportions and has the correct reverse lip "jet engine" openings that make or break this design for me. A guy on the FABO forum makes lightweight springs to work with these hoods so I bought some of those, the only downside is the front wings have to come off to fit them. So, on with prepping for paint...

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Can you explain a bit re; reverse lip jet engine openings ?
if you think speed kills don't get on a plane
Re: Blue's Barracuda
I'm meaning the detail around the openings curving inwards like on a jet engine, a lot of the aftermarket six pack scoops are almost flat fronted and lack this detail.
