It's possble mate. I think a run up to yours will be the first thing after the MOT. Just run it in a bit more before I change the oil. ;)

It does not matter to me Clive but I guess it would help anyone coming along and trying to read through it? :?

Well, I want to see Clivey with his pinny on, stockings, high heeled shoes and his feather duster.

Ivor, if that's the first image conjured up in your mind, I am more than a little concerned.

I will try and give the thread a bit of a tidy Dave, 40 pages is a long read and most epople want to read about the car and hat you have to say about it (I guess). :D

Have had a bit of bother with one of the headlight bezels.

The passenger side has taken a couple of hits over the years. One from Linda swinging into a tight gate and one from a MOT guy in his own garage. It is easily done with a Challenger that has the power bulge hood because you can't see the passenger fender at all.

Anyway. It was professionally repaired.

Of course on this last re-spray my body man did a nice job of making the fender as good as possible and did a much better job than the repair lot had done.

However. Now I have come to fit the headlight bezel, the amount of damage done to it has been made a lot more obvious.

See photo.

Now I thought this would be an easy fix. And at first (after a few taps with a rubber hammer) I thought I had done it.

But this only distorted the openings for the headlights.

There should be an even gap around each headlamp unit.

These are NOS bezels I bought in 1989 when they were still available.

There are only reproductions available now which I have heard are not great quality.

Plus I am skint.

So I have done the best I can with what I have got.

I ran out of black paint so need to buy some to touch up the scratches. My sheet metal screw in the corner of the trim pulled though the hole so I have had to stick a large head screw in there for now. Hopefully i can repair it enough for a smaller screw.

Its not very noticeable Dave. If you hadn't have pointed it out it would have taken a while to spot mate.
