Got the new steering box seal on Wednesday and fitted it Thursday night and set the ride height. Fitted new power lead from alternator to battery so the car was ready to go for wheel alignment on Saturday. Got the wheel alignment done today and what a difference. The car is rock solid and drives so much better for all the work and I'm well chuffed. All I need to do now is fit the new coolant pipe i got from Derek today and my coolant leak should be sorted.

Thanks to the generosity of Derek who gave me his old seat covers I have stripped and recovered my drivers seat with his old passenger seat cover as it was undamaged and now i have no rips in any of my seats and here are the results. I added more foam to stiffen up the seat.

Looks like you done a good job there Anton, I'm glad you have made good use of them, I would have only chucked them in the bin if you hadn't of had them.

When i brought my car i had a bad grinding noise from the rear axle and didn't know what it was so on the advice of Derek jacked the car up one side at a time and spun each wheel and found that the noise only happened on the drivers side(i have an open diff so can spin each wheel separately). With lots of advice i brought a set of Green Bearings from DaveB(good, quick service thanks Dave). In the photos i show a step by step how the change to green bearings.

John if you look at picture 12 you will see the locking ring is below the bearing and i put the bearing and locking ring on at once with the press.

As you may have seen in the wanted section I was after a reverse light switch and bracket and was told that they were very hard to get, so i decided to make one and here are my efforts.
