The ECU needs to know what the air temp is going into the engine.

So a air temperature sensor was fitted

Now there has been pages of emails regarding location above blower below in fuel mix out of fuel mix etc etc

The chosen location was under the Middle of inlet Mainfold

Hope it never goes faulty ..........

Will it get damaged if Fuel puddles there? I have seen manifolds almost fill up with fuel when something has gone wrong..............

The ecu needs to know what the air pressure is, so an air pressure sensor was fitted.

I drilled and tapped a port on Mainfold. A pipe will then run inside cab to the sensor hidden under dash and also T off to boost gauge.

This sensor is still required on a Non turbo / supercharged engine but would read vacuum not boost.

There was also another session of the never ending task of turning parts into solid gold

This was one of the biggest question and Omex (my ecu supplier) had set one up on a bench submerged in high pressure fuel and it was fine.( for a week )

Intrestingly plan B is to use a coolant temprature sensor as deigned to be submerged in corrosive liquids. it's reaction time to read temperature change was a little slow but could be used.

If it's un-getattable, is it worth fitting a 2nd sensor with wiring tail as a back-up? (assuming they ain't too pricey!)

It's a good idea sensors are £7 each !!!

I had to have a machin shop machine a flat recess for the sensor which is the pain. The engine will run without the sensors outputs just will be down 20% on power in a safety mode. Will get me home to take inlet off. And the sensors will always work and be fine ;)
