Tim, I'm sorry, but that's not a good response.

This is a huge part of the problem. Noone from the Nats committee is communicating. 30-40 members may be who give the form in at the gate, but no way is that all that turn up. That is like saying that the number who use the forum representative of the MMA, it's not, it's a small core of it.

A few of us have asked for clarification as to what happened, but only one side is responding. And I must say, responding in a calm considered manner, that is coming across very well. So far, the only response from anyone to do with the Nats has been to delete all comments on Facebook without response, or post a, quite frankly shiitty sounding rebuke on a couple of threads here. Honestly, that seems to be the response tha this club gets about any issues anyone raises any year, and that doesn't feel good as a customer. All companies need to listen to and communicate with their customers, not just present a seeming attitude of 'if you don't like it F.O.'

Please do not see this a personal attack, is it is not, I don't know you except by sight, so have no issue with you. I suppose I'd better add all that Bananarama! about this being my opinion and not the opinion of the club too. :D

I guess it would just be cool if someone from the Nats would just talk to us as paying customers and explain the facts that it wants us to 'have straight.'

Just my tuppence. Still the best event of the year and yes, you can do what you like with it. Customer service doesn't hurt though.

I agree with Stu, there are far more MMA members AND their mates who attend, pay the £40 and have a weekend. The Swindon Massive consists of two members of the MMA, yet in total there are normally at least 10 of us

The comms from the Nats committee suck, really poor of them

A bit like a few years ago when I said about he toilets being filthy, I was almost crucified for daring to raise the issue

The Nats committee are the same people that started this club and used to run it in a very similar way. Lots of phone calls between themselves but no communication with anyone else.

And threads like this are what prompted them to try and close down this forum not long after it started.

You are a rebellious lot you lot. :D

well another great slag fest to be proud of hey ,dave u should retract that statement straight away this comitee has never tried to close this forum down, FACT.and the reason i personaly have not comented on this saga is that i do not run my life around any forums i work very hard and what energy i have left is spent in my garage.
the mopar euro nats is now coming to its 20th year and each year has been a learning curve with decisions that need to be made every year lots on the weekend and even more forawrd planning i would like to think after all these years it must be evident that we have the BEST interests for the longejevity and growth of the show keeping a friendly and family event at the top of our agenda ,and this has been done every year by four enthusiasts and there imidate familyand friends ONLY ,the help from other people and companies is always chreshed and nurtered and we have become a family hand we try to suport each others intrests to the best of our ability ,

as i said the decisions we make are for the in our opinion as organisers the best for the show so it will go on for another 20 years ,this forum is not a place we need to wash our dirty laundry and get involved on slag fests like we have EVERY YEAR i personally do my dirty laudry face to face but as a comittee we have very good reasons for our discsions but we do not have to post on forums. as for any kind of exposure or corespondance i would have thought that the comunications would be well on the way by now ,NEWS TO ME .

So why is Phil banned then?

This is members forum, we should be free to discuss what is concerning us as members, be they longstanding well known members or those who have only just joined. No matter how uncomfortable the subject.

Nobody is saying the Nats is a rubbish weekend, quite the opposite it's a great weekend and hats off to the organisers. BUT a paid up member appears to have been banned from sponsorship exposure or attendance at all.

Look at last years feedback, everyone said how great it was that Playboy was there, I'm sure every person who went has got at least one photo of the girls or the car and rig.
Roll on this year and they can't come out to play.

I'm fully expecting to get an email to say that I'm now not welcome because I'm sticking up for a fellow member or I'm daring to critcise a decision.

I think personally that the whole issue would go away if the NATS committee didn't exclude sponsors/members for what appears to be political reasons

Tim, I don't doubt for a second that the decisions were made for the best interests of the event. It's a great event and I sincerely hope it does go on for another 20+ years. I'm glad the committee goes to the lengths it does. I just can't understand why no-one wants to put the facts straight if they aren't straight.

Everyone in this club loves the Nats, you should all know that. it does feel like an abrasive attitude comes back if concerns are raised.

Anyway, I'm done. Didn't really want to get involved and it doesn't help anyone if it get's this out of control. Just wanted to know what had really happened, but it doesn't look like anyone is prepared to say.

Most people know what I look like at shows, so happy to do the dirty laundry face to face if that's prefered, no beef with any of the organisers personally from me. Just don't get it.

Tim, I don't think Dave said the Nats committee tried to close this messageboard down. I think he was just commenting that a few of your committee, when running the MMA in the past wanted it shut.

But that is all history.

This is all a sticky situation, I hope it all gets resolved soon.

After all, You are all Mopar lovers. And that should be remembered. The Car is King.

Please don't all fall out over some overly made up girls pretending they love all the cars. It really is pointless.

When leaving the Nats, and someone asks, "did you have a great time?" I bet none of you reply, "yeah, there were some girls there from a playboy chat room".

It is all about the cars, and the fellow enthusiasts.... Oh, and the racing! And the beer... Oh, and the food! And reminiscing about the "Bulmer days"!

Justin, you have to remember the Nats. has nothing to do with the MMA. You are not a paid up member of the Mopar Nats organization. You are a MMA member. The MMA like many other clubs are invited to the annual show.

I understand that Jeff

Just sticking up for a member that appears to be not welcome despite the 000's he has put into a team.

Just seems unfair and I don't like unfair

I Suppose what i dont get is the mopar nats has one hell of an atmosphere i for one walk round on a bit of a high all weekend wether i race or not, get to meet all the fantastic people that watch, race organise
etc all the racing, show cars rough cars everythin in one package, last yr misery guts dave b dropped lucky and met phil did work on his car and ended up havin play boy as a sponsor a crew from play boy turned up treated the event with total respect and i personally think elevated the event even more, and for me it was not even about the girls fit good bodies what ever the whole playboy caravan added more color to the event and if it offended people they need go get there pulse checked as they must be dead, now i notice dave b is very quiet on this maybe as he is big friends with tim i dont know but if they had been my sponsors and asked to not attend next yr i would be very pi22ed of about it crikey i know for a fact one yr around midnight some one was screwing at the top of the track..... brilliant get yer rocks of at santa pod, i really did think muscle cars meant hard mens men type of owners the type that villages dont want you coming in to town after dark, blimey they would be more at risk from some balerina dancin club,. its just bizare and no matter how tim puts it over i really dont get it every one had mega fun last yr it never hurt the event in any way,
now please people that are reading this now massive thread if your against the playboy crew please tell us why ?????
even with porn connections or what ever where is the harm its all a natural act like dying, i sure wish i had got involved in it as a young fella cause sex and funeral industries will always make mega money and will never stop,

Well, from my reading, he is not banned, nor is the team. I think the Nats committee are just laying down a few rules. Perhaps some clarification might be in order?
