Well, it only rained two hours and I had a great time. I didn't race due to some teething problems, but I did do a round trip of 500 miles or just less just to be involved. C'mon boys, make an effort or it'll be gone.
I'll get some pics up later but despite the mixed attendance I had lots of fun with the attendant MMA crew and what a good bunch they are.
Should also shout for Mad Machs who mods on here and drove his Mach 1Mustang up from Cornwall with new diff and posted a pb of 13.8. Commendable chap

Yeah sorry I missed ya Miles
Good day for me tho, actually pretty busy in the afternoon, one oil down but they kept it short & the racing was good, fire up lane moved quick.
Good to see Mick out in Bigblocks Chally, but biggest shock for me was Chris Birdman IN HIS CAR
Hope you got back safe lads
Bananarama! me the donuts were luvly

Highlight of the weekend was a flight in my mates microlight. He took me up for about 3/4 of an hour, flying between 1000 and 2000 feet locally. Martyn is an old friend of mine who dragged me to Long Marston for a test flight back in the 80's. He bottled it when we got there but I went up and talked him into it when we landed. We both started taking lessons but I gave up after some time and it's the first time I've been up since. He went on to get his licence and has been flying ever since.
He also took Lynn up for about 2 minutes then landed again, he talked her into another go and up they went up again for a bit longer this time.
It's a Pegasus microlight with a 4 stroke, twin plug, dry sump Rotax, electric start and all.

Yarp, had a brill time, the Gazebo/Ford Galaxy combo worked well for living space & accommodation. Lots of invites to various impromptu drinks & BBQ's kept us busy.
The Mach1 went pretty well, new PB as Miles pointed out. A few minor tweaks need to sort out a few issues, HEI high rpm misfire (usual kind of thing) new coil will sort out most of that, with the higher rpm as a result of the 3.70 gears I'm going back to the dear old 750 vs which has been carried around like one of Brother Maynards holy relics for years, plus next time I'll run a tad more advance, all the fun of fare.
Good to catch up with so many.

Good to see some of the guys and yes it was a great weekend, not as busy as I was expecting.
Sorry I was not camping with the MMA but as I got there early Friday and was told the Mopar corner was taken by others, then I camped somewhere.
My car was very good there and back, even took her racing
