nanas' 70 Dodge Challenger

Starting a thread now, as we are strating to take it appart tonight, and will be taking pictures. Getting it ready to have the engine taken out firstly.
At the moment it has a 440 in it, but its not in good shape.
This is the cars current state.

The car last belonged to Pete Wiseman who bought it for Ronnie.

Before that it belonged to my mate Tim. He fitted the edlebrock heads and stuff. Cleaned the car up a lot too. Took off the wide transit wheel arches that had been fitted. But he was on a very low budget so an engine rebuild was out of the question. Also his relative that was going to sort the bodywork out for him never did.
After being laid off work for the second time he found himself in the position of having to sell it.

I believe Tim bought the car and engine originally from Duncan.

...and the keen eyed amongst you will have spotted that's an SFI tagged flex plate :shock:

1 tab completely broken off and another cracked virtually the whole way through........B&M solids for me :thumbright:

Only for Dave-R helpin me out Id be screwed, Im trying to get him on a plane to fly him over to help me on my Challenger...

How does a flex plate break like that ?? surely the forces are along the edges, which give it its strength
The Crank must be rocking back n forth something rotten :?
