THinking about buying a new remote door mirror from these guys:

Anyone ever bought anything from them? Their stuff looks ok in the pics and is nearly half the price of Year One. My main concern is that they manufacture their own parts and have their own tooling etc. Therefore they may be ropey.....

Yes - They do seem to have a lot of nice stuff. little interior things and annoying missing trim pieces etc

I did buy a few items from PG Classics a while back, through their web site. (including a passenger door mirror) They gave me tracking numbers by email and I was able to track the parcel through china post / parcel force. All goods appear to ship direct from China, quality seemed good enough, goods were very carefully packed too. Not a fan of China, but price seemed reasonable.

I know a few people who have used them. They are one of those no-nonsense "does what it says on the tin" companies. Some of their reproduction parts are made in china things that are not as good as the originals when closely inspected. But good enough for most people.

Some of their parts are very good indeed.

But you can't tell from photos.

I will be using them myself in the near future for the potmetal chrome frames around the rear lights on my Chally.

I bought the remote mirrors from em and some other stuff !

Mmmm. You are putting me off but I can't find anyone else making them.

Did you use chrome polish on them? Is that why the chrome went thin?

i've had a couple of bits off of 'em too, passenger door mirror and a pair of front indicator lenses, good service, no complaints about quality

Well, apart from the bad chroming on the Chally parts, that seems like pretty good feedback - £84 for a complete remote mirror assembly and £14 shipping seems pretty good to me.
Been given some birthday money with specific instructions to get something new and shiny for the charger. I think this fits the bill to replace the broken mirror and the rusted housing with the broken control cables!
