I want to get a compressor for my garage. Not to small but not over the top either.

Not going to be using it for paint spraying. Just want air for basic air driven tools for polishing ally etc.

What size compressor would be ideal for this and any makes to avoid.

What do you use ???

:help:

Best thing I ever did.
I have a basic Sealey unit 50 litre capacity, runs air tools fine.

go for the biggest CFM output you can afford. I think you can go up to about 14 on domestic mains. Air receiver capacity is important too but you can always add another tank later if need be. My compy is 200 litres I think. I wouldn't want one any smaller but I run DA sander, air drill , small shotblaster etc which all use lots of air.

I think 50 L is big enough for my small garage, if it was 200L big there wouldn't be any room left to work with the tools

CFM output per £ spent
