Dash pad 68 Charger.

My 68 Charger has got one of those replacement covers over it, the interiors black.
It was hanging off a bit so I used a hot glue gun to glue it down.

That worked fine until, in the arena at a show, the dash started to get hot, and the glue melted, and it started come off again.

Looks a bit uneven now, I was going to pull it off, because I think the pad is probably not that bad.
Does anybody know of any decent repair kits for the dash pad.
I don't fancy changing it, spent too many happy hours stuck under the dash.

Thanks.

i looked for vinyl repair in the UK and could not find anyone

so i used a friend of the uncle of a bloke that my wife knows in Oz

they use large vaccum forming machines to reskin a dash pad

the orginal is tidied up
the cracks are cut out to level them and filled to the surface

and then pre glued vinyl is vaccum formed over trimmed and cut to contour correctly

for a USA car

a new one is an option

for my car

none made since 1973
