Rats nest wiring #2

following on from previous....
None of these are alternator regulators. Do I need one?
I also have a wire running from the back of the dash somewhere (digital dash) to a spade connector on the bottom of the MSD. Any idea what this is?

Top one is not the starter relay.......thats on your first wiring post!

The wire on the side of MSD where the main wire loom comes out of the Box is the Tacho ( rev Counter) pick up wire

Top one looks like a horn relay . What car is it ? Year? All wiring diagrams can be found at

It's a '65 Coronet. I think it is a horn relay but it sure ain't wired like one.
I've now also found a modern five pin relay spliced into just about everything including the original type horn relay, the MSD box and the alternator, I think.
Doing a drawing on the weekend for referral but I'm ripping it all out and starting again.

I'd agree that it's the horn relay, but that's the issue with theses cars so many people have made changes over the years god knows what it's being used for now!
I've just fitted a painless complete wiring kit, I highly recommend it, instructions are easy to follow & has everything you need.

Sory to thread hijack Lee.....But Sinny, did you do the whole loom in one go (i.e. remove all from the car and use as a guide), or a bit at a time?
Did you have any unidentified wires cause confusion?
Will be getting the painless kit in the near future, but not sure how to tackle it......not sure i'm electrically minded!

I'd stripped everything out for the car to go to paint Dave. I'm crap with wiring too but the painless kit has step by step instructions & every wire has a number on it & a description of where it goes!
The only bit I am struggling with is the dash gauges as it just says to copy the order as they were taken out. The rest was very straight forward.
