Hate to break it to you, but the red one is likely dead as well (tax liability showing as last due 01.12.1990) - pity!

Thanks for the info though - updated my list!

Why did you break it (well, chop it up)?

I've dropped the odd 5p down the back of the seat before, but never chopped the car to get at it (well, not yet!)

Hi Pete,

Have just joined MoparUK.

I live in Swansea and have a Ve Valiant 273 VIP. 34K miles on the clock, sticker from Lex Motors dealership in Cardiff stuck on the window.

It was apparently immaculate until left outside for 4 years. I felt sorry for it and have been working on it for 2 years now although it did scrape an MOT last summer.

Plenty more to do but it is finally running and stopping reliably now!

I think you have already found my googlesites blog on the recommissioning process so far, including nearly burning the garage and house down

Best wishes

John

hi im dave ive just joined I don't own a mopar at the moment but im really into the aussie stuff as my dad had a charger vh770 over in aus when I was very young this list has been interesting reading just disappointing how few chargers there are but I was wondering if anyone knows how many were sold new in the uk because I read that they tried to sell them here with only the v8 option when we were in the middle of a fuel crisis

Dave , there are a few over here. James Bratby managed to get a full list of all the cars sold here new. The only ever R/T automatic was sold new here as a special order car, it has now been saved and gone back to Aus for a full resto, as it is a proper one of one built.

This thread is trying to establish what is left now, more keep surfacing hidden in barns in surburbia.
Worth keeping an eye on ebay etc.
