The widscreen chrome strip on my 67 dart is....to be honest.... knackered. On pricing the OM stuff up with US suppliers, It's a bit costly. Is it feasible to replace it with the old strip that you used to get in rolls, usually for mini's etc., is the profile close enough??

don't think the mini strip is wide enough ,use steele rubber great to deal with ,I bought a screen rubber for my valiant off them and they sent me the lock strip for free :thumbright:i hope you don't need the windscreen gasket as it is pricey as its a one year only jobby ,but steele does do it
heres a link for the lock strip .for around £20 its a bargain ,don't worry about the listing for a 64 dart ,its the same strip for a 67

Thanks for the advice - Repolishing would be good, but the corner pieces are broken and missing. The Steele site is useful - tempted to save my pennies and go the whole way with a new gasket and trim in one go. Thanks again for your help.

or if you can get hold of a stainless trim surround .put clips on and use the cheaper 68 onwards gasket,,cant see how you will polish a plastic trim ,,just a thought,

sounds a good option - I'll explore that one.
