did anyone see this last Sunday??
For the love of Cars, ch4 8pm
car fanatic Philip Glenister and internationally renowned car designer Ant Anstead are on a mission - to scour the barns and lock ups of Britain for wrecked treasures to bring to life
a bit like Wheeler Dealer but better IMO, they start with a basket case instead of a running car
last week, 1st ep, was a mk1 Escort Mexico
catch up on 4od ...

It was quite good actually! Just found out Ant's workshop is just round the corner from me, had never heard of him or seen any of the stuff he turns out, looking at his website, his client base must all be millionaires...

It was quite good and being an old modified Escort owner myself it really got my juices flowing.
The power they can get out of a 1600 crossflow these days is bloody amazing.
My MkII Escort was the car I learned to drift in. You could make it do anything without any sudden frights. Easy car to control.
Mine had that damn big sunroof too.

this is on again
new series
first one is Aston Martin
same slot, Sunday 8pm CH4, seems like a really good slot for a car program, can't think what used to be on at this time

Yeah, looking forward to it. They do good work on that program. The DBS looks awesome in the previews
Also just started is Brian Johnsons 'Cars that rock' on Quest & 'Car SOS' on Discovery National Geographic (why?).
Oh and Wheeler Dealers & Street Outlaws are still running on Discovery.
Who needs Top Gear anyway?

Unless it's a new series, it was on the Sky box last year, very good, and they all go to auction at the end of the series, OOps
