Smokey & the Bandit movie locations then & now...

Last month me & my mate Paul did a road trip over in the States and both being HUGE 'Smokey and the Bandit' fans,we just had to visit all the filming locations 37 years later and wow some of these locations sure have changed over the years!! :(

Screen caps are from 1977 & my pics are Oct 2014.

Impressive stuff - i love filming location pics. Ive done the dukes covington ( farm, boars nest etc) and only learned later that smokey and the bandit was like 20 miles away - gutted - i must have seen it 1000 times when i was a kid.

Have looked up most of these locations onstreetview, but kudos for actually getting there. Some of the locations look really different.

The flint river jump - where was the run up ? Did you manage to get into the woods ? I just couldnt see on the map how they did it !

Great pics Danny. I might reawaken my covington pics on this thread. I met cletus - but you met daisy ! Wow!

did you find the bar/cafe truck stop where the snowman ran over the bikes ?
or where the truck smashed the roadblock ??
